Hollywood Feed is expanding with the largest acquisition in its history

Hollywood Feed, a retailer of pet food and products, announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire PetPeople, a retailer based in Columbus, Ohio. The acquisition will be Hollywood Feed’s largest to date, expanding its geographic presence, number of stores, employee base and its natural and holistic product line.

PetPeople offers premium, natural food and treats, as well as pet supplies and services including grooming and grooming for dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles and other small animals. According to Hollywood Feed, both retailers share similar values ​​and a passion for helping local animal groups within their communities.

The acquisition will increase the number of Hollywood Feed retail stores to 180 and expand its reach to five new states, for a total of 19 states from Texas to Pennsylvania and from Michigan to Florida. It will also increase the number of employees to about 1,225 for the Hollywood Feed.

Outside of its retail stores, Hollywood Feed has a robust operation to support its brick-and-mortar stores, including an e-commerce platform, a 180,000-square-foot warehouse and a fleet of 17 trucks for distribution. The retailer also provides same-day pickup and delivery at all of its locations.
